WHO IS SARA DUNCAN

Sara Duncan is the Secretary of the Cherriots Board of Directors and the Chair of Cherriots’ DEI Committee. Duncan currently lives in Salem with her partner, Allison, and their dog and 2 cats. She has lived in the Salem community for most of her life, serving the greater Salem community in a number of leadership roles that span from non-profits and public service to health care and small business. 

Professionally, Duncan is the Development Manager for PCUN, an organization that advocates for Oregon farmworkers and working Latinx families. Previously, she was the Communications Manager at Lifesource. Prior to that, she coordinated a recycling program for the Mid-Valley Garbage and Recycling Association, where she taught youth about recycling. In 2017, she graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology.

Duncan is a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and for Oregonians experiencing disabilities.
